The most powerful word in dictionary
The King
Do you exactly know what the word “King” means? Maybe you do, but have you really thought about how much power, honor, strength this word carries? First of all, let’s talk about the origin of the greatest word “King”.
The term “King” is taken from an early English language (Anglo-Saxon) in which a Common Germanic word “kuningaz” , which means “the king”. So basically the term “King” was derived from “kuningaz”. The Common Germanic term was borrowed into Estonian and Finnish at an early time.
King / Alpha / Ruler / Conqueror, these terms are used to refer to the most powerful and smartest species with the strongest attitude or mindset. Staring from the ancient world to this modern civilization.
Maybe nowadays the word is used as different synonyms, for example - CEO, Boss, Leader, Managing Director etc. But the power, the impact and the honor is still the same and will be the same long after we are gone.
The word “King” has power in itself. If we turn the pages of history we can see most of the time people only fought just because of this title. Over the course of history many kingdoms had been raised and burnt just for the word “King”.
According to NATIONAL GEOGRAPHY the first ever king in the history of mankind was King Sargon of Akkad—who legend say was destined to rule—established the world’s first empire more than 4,000 years ago in Mesopotamia. His name meant “true king,”.
Since then there’s been wars after wars for achieving the glory of this title. Also in this modern world there’s always been a fight to be the king, to be the boss, to be the alpha of a particular sector.
Because from the beginning of human being, it’s in human nature to crave power, glory, fame and this word contains all of that. But the main question rises, who will put the crown on his head?
Again, if we start digging the pages of History till this modern world, we’ll see that all of the worthy kings have some things in common. They know how to influence people, how to inspire them, how to keep their hopes high, how to lead an entire race. The main interesting thing about kings, their charisma attracts people to follow their lead. Their words work more like magic. They know how to influence an entire race. The strategy of a great leader can fail every plan of the enemy. That’s why there is a saying according to Brigette Hyacinth based on a true story -
“Leaders are born not made.” (LinkedIn, 2014)
We can see kings / Alphas / Leaders not only in human revolution but also in the animal kingdom. For example, the forest is ruled by their one and only leader, the Lion. The sky is ruled by the Eagle. The Ocean is ruled by the Shark.
But the question still stands, lions are not the largest or the fastest or the smartest, so why is lion the conqueror of the jungle? Eagle is not the sweetest or smartest bird, so why does eagle rule the sky? Sharks are not as big as the whales or the blue whales, but why are people afraid of sharks the most?
It’s because they all have one thing in common. A fierceful attitude with a strong sheer will.
There is a very famous quote by The great conqueror, Alexander the Great -
“An army of sheep led by a lion is better than an army of lions led by a sheep.”
This quote by the great king expresses the necessity of a great leader. It shows us how much power, impact, honor a single word can carry.
In conclusion, the importance of the word “King” cannot be described in a few words. The legacy of this word has been carried since the dawn of humanity and will continue till the end of this world.
“LONG LIVE THE KING”.
